Apart from the red carpet requirements of award shows, film releases and festivals, you wouldn’t really expect for a celebrity star to dress up at their best. Especially not when they’re about to endure small plane seats, long periods in the sky and possible jet-lag.
However, leave it to the Bollywood big-wigs to put on a show at the airport and wow all of us with their fashion game. Nowhere has the term ‘athleisure’ gained as much prominence as the Mumbai international airport, which sees our favourite big screen and small screen stars set trends on the regular. From Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt, to Sonakshi Sinha and Kajol, here are some of the big celebrity sightings at the airport.
1. Deepika Padukone
)
Deepika’s simple vest and baggy cargo pant combo is so comfy looking it makes us want to fall asleep in it. Good thing she has that leather jacket to tackle that in-flight air conditioner.
2. Fardeen Khan
)
Fardeen Khan was spotted after a pretty long time with his family, including his wife Natasha and his two kids, Diani and Azarius. It’s not often that you see Fardeen in Mumbai, so this is a pretty rare treat.
3. Sonakshi Sinha
)
While Sonakshi may have looked as sporty as she could with her Adidas jacket and braids, it was her affectionate playing with a stray dog that caught the camera’s attention.
4. Alia Bhatt
)
Alia has been pretty busy with travel lately, having come back from Bulgaria not too long ago. It looks like she’s back at it again, going back to Bulgaria to resume her work on Brahmastra opposite rumoured boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor.
5. Salman Khan
)
Salman Khan was also seen in his usual jeans and t-shirt combo. The actor is on his way to Malta to begin shooting for Bharat with Katrina Kaif.
6. Kajol and Nysa Devgan
)
The mother-daughter duo was spotted together in matching blue and black combos. The two are often known to jet off together, and look pretty good doing it, too.
7. Yami Gautam, Imtiaz Ali and Pooja Hegde
)
Some of the other celebs spotted at the airport include Yami Gautam (who was recently making everyone jealous in Hong Kong), Imtiaz Ali (currently working on Laila Majnu) and Pooja Hegde (who will soon join Mahesh Babu in the filming for Maharshi).
