Viral photo: When Shah Rukh Khan tackled Kapil Dev at friendly football match

Back in the 90s, many times, actors and cricketers used to come together to play matches for charity. Before the leagues were created, these celebs used to play football and cricket as friendly matches. The collaborations are like a clash of the titans and a delightful treat for the fans. Now, we got our hands on a particular throwback photo which is heartwarming and too classic for words. The photo features legendary cricketer Kapil Dev and superstar Shah Rukh Khan during a friendly football match in the 90s.

In the photo, Kapil is seen trying to take away the ball from Shah Rukh while he slid to tackle the former cricketer. The photo also has Sohail Khan, Deepak Tijori and Puneet Issar playing the game along with them.

Kapil Dev and Shah Rukh Khan share a warm bond. Earlier this year, when the cricketer suffered a heart attack, SRK tweeted for his speedy recovery. He wrote, "Get well sooner than soon Paaji! @therealkapildev wishing you a speedy recovery as fast as your bowling & batting. Love to you sir."

While Kapil thanked his well-wishers for wishing him well. He posted on his Twitter page, "Thank you, everyone, for all the love and concern. I am overwhelmed with good wishes and well on the road to recovery."

Meanwhile, on the work front, SRK has finally kickstarted the shooting of his upcoming film titled Pathan directed by Siddharth Anand. The film also stars John Abraham and Deepika Padukone as the female lead.
