Presenting Pankaj Tripathi's first look as superstar in Richa Chadha starrer 'Shakeela'

After teasing with first look posters of Shakeela featuring Richa Chadha, the makers have now introduced a new character from the film. Yes, Pankaj Tripathi plays an important role in the biopic. In the first look poster, the actor is seen in snazzy clothes wearing an oxblood satin shirt and red pantsuit. He completed his look with Aviator sunglasses and is holding a trophy in one hand and a mic on the other.

Talking about Shakeela, Pankaj said in a statement, "I am thrilled that our little labour of love Shakeela is all set to release in theatres this Christmas. I am so excited about the film because I have worked with the very talented friend Richa Chadha in this film. I have a beautiful part in the film. I play an actor for the first time in my career. I have always wanted to play an actor on screen and bring out the idiosyncrasies of artists on screen. It's an interesting and colourful character."

Shakeela is the official biopic of Malayalam actor who ruled the roost in her days of glory. The film is directed by Indrajit Lankesh. The film is a classic rag to riches of a woman, who won against all odds. She was fat-shamed, slut-shamed, told she is too dark but every time there was a lull at the box office, she got the cash register ringing again.

The film is all set to hit the big screens on December 25, 2020.
