'Durgamati' song 'Baras Baras': All about Bhumi Pednekar's love story with Karan Kapadia

Bhumi Pednekar's upcoming movie 'Durgamati's new song has been unveiled. The track, crooned by B Praak, is all about her love story with 'Blank' actor Karan Kapadia. For the uninformed, Kapadia is Twinkle Khanna's nephew.

In the song, Bhumi's character falls in love with Karan's. She plays a government official while he is seen as the local revolutionary for people.

She initiates the relationship with a sweet gesture - leaving a gift at his doorstep, only to meet him outside the house. Jisshu Sengupta, last seen in 'Sadak 2', plays the role of Karan's friend.

The love between Bhumi and Karan blooms and ends up in them getting engaged to one another.

'Durgamati' producer Akshay Kumar shared the song on his Twitter handle writing, "Get mesmerized by love in this soulful ballad, #BarasBaras, out now: bit.ly/BarasBaras-Dur… Meet #DurgamatiOnPrime on Dec 11, @PrimeVideoIN."

Tanishk Bagchi has written the lyrics of the song. Altamash Faridi gave additional vocals to the song.

The movie also features Arshad Warsi and Mahie Gill in pivotal roles. Ashok G has directed the film which is slated for December 11 release on Amazon Prime Video.

The trailer of 'Durgamati' was unveiled recently and fans have compared it to Anushka Shetty's 'Bhagamathie'. While in the latter, 'Bhagamathie' was the name of a goddess, 'Durgamati' is named after an ancient haveli which brings the chills.
