Helloooooo people! Writing after a month feels good. So before I forget I have been seeing a lot of Indians here in Berlin these days. I also hear people talking in Hindi a lot. Feels really good -- hearing and talking in our language with random people.

When I travel to school these days, I try to be more Berliner and spend my time listening to music and noticing fellow passengers. Yeah, I know this is the same in every country. Train traveling can be the worst and most boring time of the day at times!Coming back to point. Going through my same daily routine I saw something different today. (Well different in the sense it made me think in a whole new direction) I saw an old lady possibly in her late 70s carrying these 3 heavy bags. She certainly looked poor but what caught my attention was the pale sad face of hers. She did look helpless and there were these moments where she tried to stop tears from rolling down her checks. At a certain time she did breakdown for a moment but gained herself back. Throughout the journey I tried to figure out what she was going through that was making her life difficult but I couldn’t succeed.Well I left the train soon because school is important. But the entire day that scene of this lady kept haunting me. I could do just nothing to help her out. This made me think that in whichever country you go, no matter how developed you are, what matters is the quality of life. One can live in the best place on Earth but still not be happy. Earn tons of money but not have a family to spend it upon. Live in most beautiful place but not be able to make that place more beautiful by talking to someone special. We all want our respective countries to grow in economy, be the world power and what not. But why don’t we first look after keeping our people happy? It’s not just money that matters! You don’t need money to keep you happy (but yes, in our generation we are becoming more materialistic). If all the people are happy, the world will anyways become a happier and more beautiful place to live in.Another thing which has being going in my mind is—why do we differentiate people on various reasons. Colour, race, nationality, religion and what not. A person with not a socially good background may lead a way better and happier life than the one being ‘socially correct’.I know this topic is discussed everyday all throughout the world. We try to keep the track of a celebrity’s personal life but tend to neglect the common man. I don’t mean to go out of their way. All I mean is to try to get a simple smile on their faces. In our ever-growing world we tend to find answers to difficult economic problems but never ever think about the quality of life. Quality of life doesn’t mean living in the best economic city in the world or having the latest brands, smartphones to cut us out of the real world! The basic way of measuring the quality of life is happiness. What do you think?
