SM Krishna 11th October, 1999 - 28th May 2004

SM Krishna (left) with Jagdish Shettar (second left), BJP leader and the current speaker of the Assembly. SM Krishna led the Congress to victory in the 1999 election. He almost completed a full term of office as he had a clear majority. Krishna went for an early state poll, along with the parliamentary election, but the Congress failed to reach the halfway mark. He was an able administrator.
