Lensman Rakesh Ravindran catches the action on Day Two of Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week
Designer
Daniel Hechter Paris
Collection
Edition anniversaire 1962
This was in all likelihood the only-men’s wear show at the Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week. As 2012 marks the 50th year anniversary of the Daniel Hechter Paris label, the brand kick-started the show with their anniversary collection capsule of formal and informal wear. Inspired as the collection was by the Vasarely paintings, the crisp white shirts had stripes in red and blue. The rest of the show showcased clothes from the Iconic range, the Classic with a Twist and Sporty Elegance ranges. There were ties that carried a print of the Daniel Hechter logo just as the Iconic range had shirts and stoles in black and beige, the colours of the label logo. As a brand that prides itself as an affordable-luxury brand, the ready-to-wear range was extremely smart and the cuts very flattering. More than individual pieces, what really stood out was the trend of wearing cuffed pants with tees or shirts. Worn with comfy loafers the look lent the models an air of cool confidence. This well might be a look that will easily get off from the ramp to the streets.
