The peaceful campaign against corruption being staged in the Freedom Park shows that the nation will be safer in the hands of the youth, according to a human rights activist.

Thanveer Ahmed, an active participant in the India Against Corruption movement led by Anna Hazare, said Indians should come together as one in their fight against corruption. They should leave behind all differences in the name of caste and creed.
Prakash Urs, another campaigner, who had visited Ramlila Ground in Delhi to express his solidarity with the fasting leaders, is, however, upset by the saffronisation of the protest being held in Freedom Park. He said members of a particular community were dominating the scene. Being a nationwide protest against a social evil, he wanted the movement to assume a more secular character.

The student face of the protest since Day 1, Divesh Vyas, ended the hunger strike after campaigners expressed their grave concern over his health condition. He is now doing his bit as a volunteer helping others in Freedom Park. He claims he had parental permission to go ahead.

On Day 5 of the anti-corruption campaign, the park drew more organisations which expressed their solidarity with the fasting campaigners. The agitation is getting the support of not only Bangaloreans but also various representatives from all over the country.

The large presence of students from New Horizon, Sheshadripuram PU College and SJP College at the park proved that youth were ready to do their bit in the battle against corruption.
Student organisations like ABVP have sent their representatives from places like Kolkata. The atmosphere in Freedom Park was such that visitors became all the more conscious of how corruption is acting as an impediment to the growth of the nation. Yakshagana artistes staged a show depicting how corruption is eating into the vitals of the nation.
