A day after a local court ordered lok ayukta police probe into allegations of illegal denotification of lands by him favouring his kins, Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa went into consultations with Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) officials.

Yeddyurappa summoned BDA commissioner Bharatlal Meena and others for a discussion, according to official sources.

In the first complaint filed by two advocates Sirajin Bhasha and KN Balaraj, they had alleged that Yeddyurappa denotified lands which had been notified by the BDA, in favour of his family members, who later sold it for monetary gains.

Today's meeting assumed significance in the backdrop of the court's order and inquiry the lok ayukta police will begin after getting orders from court.

There are four more complaints filed against Yeddyurappa, his family members, former minister SN Krishnaiah Setty over alleged irregularities in denotification of lands, pending before the court.

Another complaint filed against home minister R Ashoka over denotification of lands he secured has also been referred to lok ayukta police probe.

The process of recording of statements from complainants on their second complaint will be taken up today by the 23rd additional civil and session court Judge CB Hippargi.
