Unable to bear the harassment for dowry by her husband and in-laws,a 20-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging at home, police said today.

Police said the victim Rekha was also depressed after she was denied permission to attend the marriage of her relative and took the extreme step yesterday.

A case of dowry death has been registered, police added.
