In the first incident, 32-year-old Lawrence, a resident of OMBR Layout, was attacked by a group of miscreants when he was standing near BMTC bus stop at Maruthi Sevanagar around 10.30 pm. The miscreants came in an auto-rickshaw and attacked him with the blunt metal object.
Lawrence was working with a medical agency and left the job few a months ago. He used to pick quarrels with his parents and his friends. He was married but got divorced, police said.
“We will arrest the miscreants in two days,” said an investigating officer. The body was handed over to the family after postmortem. A case of murder has been registered at Banaswadi police station.
In the second incident, a 42-year-old garments employee was allegedly killed by her husband.
The deceased has been identified as Lakshmi, a resident of Kasturba Nagar. She sustained serious injuries on her head and died on the spot in her house, police said.
Lakshmi’s husband Venkatesh is an alcoholic and he used to beat her regularly. He was suspicious about her character, police said.
The incident came to light on Monday morning when a person identified as Anand came to Lakshmi’s house. Police suspect Anand had an illicit relation with Lakshmi.
Venkatesh is alleged of smashing his wife's head with a stone. He has been absconding after the incident.
The couple had two children. The body has been handed over to the family after postmortem. A case is registered at Byatarayanapura police station.
In another incident, a 32-year-old man was killed by a group of three miscreants. The deceased has been identified as Satish Kumar, a resident of Brindavan nagar.
Satish was working with a chemical factory in Avalahalli New Extension on Mysore Road. Around 10.30 am on Monday morning, a group of three miscreants came in an auto-rickshaw and attacked Satish with machetes.
Police said the relatives of the factory owner are behind the murder.
