Banglore: Expressing his displeasure with rebel leaders G Karunakara Reddy and G Janardhana Reddy's continued defiance against the BJP high command, party MP from Bangalore North, DB Chandre Gowda, has demanded disciplinary action against the rebels.
"The party high command should act immediately against those indulging in activities that subvert the democratic system. Wasting time will only compound the problem. Action should be taken against Reddy brothers immediately," Chandre Gowda said on the sidelines of a function.
Referring to the Reddys' refusal to fall in line with the high command's solution to the political crisis, Gowda said, "We should respect the high command. Open defiance of its decisions is regrettable. There is some independence in the BJP and it is unfortunate that some leaders are misusing it."
Highlighting the plight of over two crore people affected by the floods in North Karnataka, he said the stand of MLAs from the region to quit their assembly membership when the need of the hour was their presence in their respective constituencies for supervising the relief works was disgusting. "They are misfit to be the people's representatives."
