Srirama Sene, the moral brigade, lashed out at BJP over the ‘porngate scandal’ and compared the tainted three to sewage water.

"A lot of gutter water has flown into the BJP party today. When such water flows, the odour is always disturbing,” said Pramod Muthalik, its leader. “If this water gushes out, it will pollute the society and create an unhealthy atmosphere. We are formulating strategies to prevent this,” said Muthalik who was in Bangalore.

“These MLAs have to be first sent ... to jail. My protest would focus on this,” he said.Sene is planning a series of protests against the former ministers. “We will continue the fight until the MLAs are ousted from (party) membership. A mere resignation from the post is not enough. They are answerable to the voters who elected them,” he said.

The BJP, for the sake of hanging on to power, had taken in too many unwanted elements from other parties. In the process, it had lost its charm. This led to a dip in morals and rise in corruption and greed within the party, he said.

His comments came even as critics were expressing their surprise over his group’s silence over porngate scandal as well as the rave party at St Mary beach in Udupi.

Muthalik said protests were staged in the home constituencies of the tainted ministers. “We also raised our voice against the Malpe rave party and submitted memorandums to the district administration and Astha Matha seers in Udupi to stop such parties which are against our culture,” he said. Sources in the district administration, however, said no memorandum was submitted in this regard.

On the Sindagi incident in which Sene had been accused of trying to incite communal tension by hoisting Pakistan Flag last month, he said his organisation had been falsely implicated.

“People who were responsible for the incident were not my men. These were persons from the RSS and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. The men whom they finally arrested were those working for a good cause.

They wanted to fix me and my organisation. Hence the real culprits were shielded,” he said.

“There has been a ploy to always drag the name of my organisation. We’re becoming the sacrificial goat in every issue. It is all right. Let them go on doing it. But we’ll continue to fight for the cause,” he said.
