The Mysore University Women's Harassment Complaint Committee submitted its report on the alleged sexual harassment case of research scholar Sarita by her guide and zoology professor Shivabasavaiah to the university syndicate recommending legal action against him.

Sarita lauded the recommendation of the committee and demanded appropriate punishment, which, she said, should be a lesson to such offenders.

The committee head Yashoda had screened the case thoroughly before arriving at the conclusion. It also decided to send a copy of its report and recommendations to Shivabasavaiah. No time limit has been mentioned for the accused to give his reactions.
