The central crime branch on Sunday claimed to have busted a high-tech, inter-state prostitution racket with the arrest of four women from two posh hotels in the city.

The racket solicited customers through a website, police said, while identifying the arrested women as Mahi Besoya, 22, of Delhi, Sonia Kamble, 21, of Pune, Sania Ansari, 22, from Mumbai and a hotel receptionist Mary Agnes, 37.

A search has been launched to arrest two men, Rajesh and Kumar alias Michael, following the arrest of the women on Saturday, police said.

Sania was picked up from a hotel on Sheshadripuram Main Road, while the others  were arrested from a hotel on Brigade Road.

Police said Sania had been staying there for the past eight days. Investigators have decided to freeze her bank account into which Rs1.8 lakh was recently deposited.

Assistant commissioner of police (women and narcotics cell, CCB) R Lakshman said the raids were conducted on a tip-off that women were brought to the city from Delhi, Pune, and Mumbai to conduct flesh trade.

Customers can book a girl online through their website www.bangaloreescorts.com. They operate only from posh hotels. Customers were allowed into the girl’s room only after they paid the entire amount, ranging from Rs10,000 to Rs30,000, to the hotel receptionist,” the officer said.

Police said the absconding Rajesh, allegedly a Delhi-based pimp, arranged the girls, while Kumar was the contact person in Bangalore.

Those who contacted the party were asked to meet Kumar either on MG Road or Brigade Road, where they were directed to the hotel.

Customers contacted the racket through a mobile number provided on the website, or by filling up the online booking form. Though the police said the racket charged up to Rs30,000, the maximum quoted by the website was Rs60,000. The site also claimed the racket could arrange college girls, housewives, air hostesses, celebrities and TV anchors.
