One held for gang rape of bar girls

A man was arrested  on Sunday for his involvement in the alleged gang rape of three bar girls in Jnanajyothi Nagar near Mariyappana Palya.

 The arrested was identified as Johnny of Sunkadakatte in Bangalore.
Bidadi police are questioning two others who are residents of Kottigepalya or Sumanahalli.
 The seven others involved in the rape are also said to be residents of these areas.

Confirming Johnny’s arrest, Anupam Agarwal, superintendent of police (Ramanagaram), said: “The case is still under investigation. We require a little more time to arrest the other culprits before solving the case.”

It will not be proper to reveal the details of the case until the investigation is completed, he said.

During the interrogation, Johnny revealed the names of a few others who took part in the rape.
Johnny and his friends are involved in other crimes too, police said.

On Thursday night, Johnny and his friends barged into the house of the bar girls in Jnanajyothi Nagar near Mariyappana Palya.

Kidnap

First, they demanded  their valuables. The girls readily gave them five gold rings, one gold chain, five cell phones, one LCD TV and Rs15,000 cash.

After taking the valuables, the gang locked the security guards of the building in the house, forced the girls into their van and drove off to another house where they allegedly raped them.
The girls were from Punjab, Delhi and Maharashtra.

They were staying in a rented house for the past two months. All of them were working in a bar in the Majestic area.
