People of Bhyrappa Block in Thyagarajnagar woke up to a rude shock on Sunday morning when they found a dead body in a gunny bag in the locality.

Thyagarajnagar police rushed to the spot and took out the man’s body, which had several stab injuries.

The man’s throat was also slit. He had several names tattooed on his hands and chest, including the names of two women—Geetha and Ramya. The police have identified him as Narayanaswamy, a resident of AK Colony in Banashankari II Stage.

Investigations revealed that Narayanaswamy was an auto driver. The police said Narayanaswamy was in love with a girl. The girl, too, reciprocated and they had plans to get married.

However, one of the girl’s relative who was also in love with her, and had warned Narayanaswamy to stay away from the girl on many occasions. The elders in the family intervened and settled the dispute. The police interrogated the girl’s cousin, but he had an alibi and his answers never aroused any suspicion.

Meanwhile, the police said that Naryanaswamy had affairs with several women.

“This had made our job more complicated. Now, we have to probe the case without any clues. We have to check Narayanaswamy’s background to figure out if he had any enemies,” said a police official.
