Lokayukta police chief Satyanarayana Rao and his subordinates have not declared their assets, which is mandatory for government officials. Though many Lokayukta officials have declared their financial assets, Rao and deputy inspector general of police, Arun Chakravarthy, have not declared theirs.

Rao said he would not only file the declaration at the earliest but also asked his officers to follow suit. He further said that Lokayukta officials have evaluated the price of the immovable property based on the registered value (government rate) and not on the present market value. He said the value of three residential premises and three bank lockers belonging to Veerabhadraiah is yet to be ascertained. Additional searches are on to ascertain if the tainted officials have more unaccounted wealth, he added. In the past 10 years (January 1, 2001, to August 31, 2011), the Lokayukta police have trapped 2,420 officials and raided property owned by 311 officials. But only five IAS, six IPS, three IFS and 12 KAS officers have been raided so far.

Traps or raids against IAS officers took place only between 2004 and 2008. An IAS officer has not been trapped or raided in the past three years. In the case of IPS officers, raids took place during 2008 and 2009.
