ShareBanglore: They promise to wipe away the recession blues with some good plays that'll tickle your ribs until it hurts. As Ranga Shankara ushers in its day annualtheatre festival beginning from Thursday, they promise you 10 days of fun.
The sixth edition of the festival zooms in on comedy -- Laughter.....The Best Medicine being its theme. And apart from the plays there's two days of Haasya Kavi Samelan, which will start on November 10, bringing the best names to town like Dr Vishnu Saxena (Aligarh), Arun Jaimini (Delhi),Sarvesh Asthana (Lucknow) and Dinesh Bawara (Mumbai).
Then there is a poetry reading and a college festival. Ten colleges have been selected and the best will get to perform on stage during the festival. A cartoon is a sure smile bringer and keeping that in mind, during the festival RS will have a corner dedicated to leading cartoonists where they can make caricatures for the audience. Something unique called Laughter Corner where canned laughter will be played and as the audiences react, their reactions will be recorded and screened!
