Karnataka Lok Ayukta Shivraj Patil meets Governor

Karnataka Lok Ayukta Shivaraj Patil Monday called on the Governor HR Bhardwaj against the backdrop of allegations that he had violated rules in securing allotment of residential plots for him and his wife.

Patil, after his meeting with the Governor, left the Raj Bhavan through the rear gate.

The nature of discussions Patil had with Bhardwaj was not immediately known.

Patil is facing allegations that he secured allotment of 9600 sq ft land from the Judicial Employees Housing Society in 1994 and his wife a 4200 sq ft land from Vyalikaval Housing Cooperative Society in 2006.

Patil also owns a house in Vasanthanagar.
