Bangalore: Beleaguered Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa, who is trying to stave off rebellion from dissidents to oust him, has cancelled the cabinet meeting to be convened here tomorrow.

Yeddyurappa, who is in Delhi holding parleys with the BJP leadership to resolve the crisis, has chosen to continue his stay in the national capital tomorrow, sources close to him said.

Yeddyurappa had also called a meeting of his ministers tomorrow morning, which also stands cancelled, the sources said.

The chief minister rushed to Delhi yesterday after he was summoned by party's Central leaders for consultations to defuse the two-week-old crisis triggered by the demand for a change in leadership by dissidents led by tourism minister G Janardhana Reddy.
