About 1,000 students, academicians, urban planners and policy implementers will meet in Mysore in November to discuss solutions to urban India’s problems.
The four-day meet to be held at Infosys campus from November 17 will focus on water, land, infrastructure, health, education, financial inclusion, planning, governance and citizenship.
It would serve as a public platform to exchange ideas on how to tackle challenges of urban India, said Aromar Revi, director of the Indian Institute for Human Settlements, one of the organisers of the conference.
Arghyam and Janaagraha will take part in the meet where Bangalore’s experience with reforming electoral processes in Shantinagar will be highlighted.
Challenge for students
Young India with ideas to transform their urban environment will have a chance to showcase them at the meet.
