The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, (IIM-B) has decided to do away with group discussions for admissions this year.
The official announcement read: “During the PI (personal interview) process, the candidates selected for interviewing during a particular half-day... will have to write a short note on a topic provided by IIM-B. The topics chosen will typically reflect current political, economic and business affairs, though other topics such as sports and those that require more creative thinking can also be included.”
Candidates will be given 30 minutes to write the test.
The weightage would include CAT scores (20), 10th board examination results (15), 12th board examination results (10), Bachelor degree (15) and, work experience or professional course (10).
