A year ago, even a 10-metre walk left a 68-year-old Ramachandran gasping for breath.
Even after he was diagnosed for cardiac blockage, he refused to opt for bypass surgery. Despite that, Ramachandran today is as healthy as a 45-year-old. He can walk, jog, and climb up the staircase, with ease.
This he managed to achieve by opting for integrated medical therapy, recommended by Dr Suresh Shottam at Uforia Centre for Integrated Medicine, which offers non-surgical and drug-free treatments for heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and other major ailments.
“There are about six therapies for heart ailments. Depending on the complication, we recommend a specific treatment. Ramachandran took up oral treatment with a combination of herbs that are known to boost the functioning of the heart, along with Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP) Therapy,” said Dr Shottam.
Ramachandran’s treatment began in mid-August, last year. Within just two weeks, he started showing signs of improvement. A subsequent CT-angiogram also helped.
However, he underwent 35 EECP sessions along with oral therapy. After six months of treatment, a final CT-angiogram revealed the absence of coronary heart disease or plaque build-up.
However, he was put on strict diet regime and customised breathing and exercise techniques, which he is following till date.
A 62-year-old Singaraj K is now driving, farming, and spending quality time with his grandchildren. ]
About a year ago, he was not even able to walk. Singaraj was down with a series of problems — cardiac blockage, massive cardiac attack, tuberculosis, and diabetes.
“He was admitted in a private hospital in Chennai, where tests revealed that he required immediate surgery. We got to know about this alternative therapy from my aunt and brought dad to Bangalore,” said Priya Radhakrishnan, Singaraj’s daughter.
A month of EECP therapy, followed by a protein-packed diet, few exercises, and oral medication, is keeping Singaraj fit and fine.
“We had done a thorough check-up. After three months of treatment, he became fit,” added Priya.
“Other options that do not involve surgery are chelation therapy, therapeutic dosages of vitamins and amino acids given orally or through injections, breathing exercises and customised diet regime,” said Dr Shottam.
