The high court has upheld the single judge’s order which had stayed the re-verification of the report of audited accounts of the Hassan Milk Co-operative Society  from 2005 to 2008.

The state government and the former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa had filed an appeal challenging the single judge’s order.

“We are of the considered view that the single judge was right in staying further proceedings pursuant to the re-examination or re-verification of the order for the block period from 2001-02 to 2007-08,” said the division bench headed by chief justice Vikramaji Sen on Wednesday.

The then director of Karnataka Milk Federation HD Revanna, along with former directors of the firm, had filed a batch of four petitions before the single judge seeking the quashing of the audit reports.

The high court, on March 18, 2011, had stayed the re-verification of the audited accounts from 2005 to 2008.
