Eunuchs try to ‘castrate’ boy in Bangalore

Residents of RPC Layout in Vijaynagar assaulted a group of eunuchs for sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy. The residents handed them over to the police, but they were let off after the boy’s parents refused to file a complaint fearing social stigma.

The incident took place when the boy stepped out for a walk at 9.30pm on Monday. Eunuchs, who stay in the neighbourhood, invited the boy to their house on the pretext of offering him a chance to play with a puppy.

When he approached them, the group pounced on the boy and started sexually abusing him. The boy cried for help and the neighbours came to his rescue.

 Soon a crowd gathered and started beating up the eunuchs and handed them over to the police. Residents alleged that the eunuchs not only molested the boy but also tried to castrate him. Police took the accused into custody. After interrogation, the eunuchs confessed that they molested the boy but denied any plans of castrating him. Meanwhile, the accused have filed a complaint against the residents for trespass and assault. “We have taken the complaint and are trying to locate the people who beat the eunuchs,” police said.
