Cops in Bangalore hand in glove with milk adulteration mafia: MLC

JD (S) MLC Abdul Azeem chided the state government for not taking action against the milk adulteration mafia, which has the support of the police. “Adulterated milk is being sold for the past 10 years. If the state wants to put an end to it, it has to initiate action against the police officers,” Azeem said.

Azeem further said the government had so far arrested only the drivers and cleaners, and the investigation will hit a dead end soon. “We are feeding poison to people. Suspend the police officers immediately,” he urged.

Congress MLC RV Venkatesh said that everything will return to square one in one month, as people will soon forget about the case.

Vishveshwara Hegde Kageri, who answered on behalf of home minister R Ashoka, informed the house that the owner of Bhavani Milk Dairy has been arrested in Tamil Nadu in this connection.
The milk sample was sent to State Public Health Laboratory and National Dairy Laboratory for further investigation. The government is serious about the issue, he added.

The government did not make any statements regarding talking action against police officers in the city who support the adulteration mafia.
