In a bid to promote small scale electronic industries in the state, the Consortium of Electronic Industries in Karnataka (CLIK), is organising a three-day exhibiton ‘Clicktronika’ from February 16 at the World Trade Centre.
“We are a not-for-profit organisation with a focus on promoting small scale industries. Clicktronika is something that is held every two years. Last time around, the event focused on the renewable energy industries. This year, it would be about the Preferential Procurement Policy,” said SS Lakshmanan, manager administration of CLIK.
Preferential Procurement Policy requires all central ministries and public sector units to purchase at least 20% of their total annual purchase from MSME sector.
“The policy was approved in 2011 and this event will be a place where government and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) come together,” SS Lakshmanan added.
“The event aims at developing marketing linkages between government departments, defence, public sector units and large and medium industries with MSME sector. We currently have 15 public sector units participating in this event and we will have 60 stalls,” he said.
