Three officers from the state police would be awarded the President’s police medal for distinguished service, while 14 others would receive the medal for meritorious service.

Three officers from the state police would be awarded the President’s police medal for distinguished service on Republic Day, while 14 others would receive the medal for meritorious service.
Distinguished service medals would be conferred on the following officers: HN Sathyanarayana Rao, inspector general of police (Eastern range), Davanagere; MR Pujar, additional commissioner of police (law and order), Bangalore; and Shaik Abdul Khader, deputy superintendent of police (DySP), fingerprint bureau (FPB), Western Range, Mangalore.
On the other hand, these officers would get the meritorious service medal: Pronab Mohanty, deputy inspector general of police (DIGP), Lokayukta, Bangalore; Alok Kumar, joint commissioner of police (crime), Bangalore; Ramesh S Harihar, DIGP (railways); T Dyave Gowda, assistant reserve sub-inspector (ARSI), state intelligence; Ananthiah, sub-inspector (SI) of police, criminal investigation department (CID), Bangalore; M Puttaswamy, RSI, Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP), Fifth Battalion, Mysore; Basavaraj Sirurmath, inspector, FPB, Gulbarga; Annaiah Raghuveer, assistant commissioner of police (ACP), control room, Bangalore city; MG Nagalingaiah, assistant commandant, KSRP III battalion, Bangalore; CP Janawad, DySP, CID, Bangalore; Basavaraja Yellappa Malagatti, DCP (north-east division), Bangalore; BN Neelagar, superintendent of police (SP), Lokayukta, Gulbarga; RB Mohan Reddy, assistant inspector general of police, Bangalore; and PC Hiremath, commandant, KSRP, Ninth Battalion, Bangalore.
