Three gold chains snatched in 45 minutes

Three chain snatching incidents were reported in the city within a span of 45 minutes on Thursday morning.

At 6 am, two bike-borne miscreants snatched away an 80 gram gold chain from Bhagya, 45, when she was standing in front of her house in Jayanna Layout, Marutinagar, at the Yalahanaka police station limits.

Umakumar, 72, was walking near his house at ITI Layout in Jnanabharathi police station limits around 6:30 am. Two men on a bike approached him on the pretext of enquiring an address and snatched his eight gram gold chain.

The last incident was reported around 6:45 am at BEL Layout in Raja Rajeshwarinagar police station limits, where two miscreants on a bike snatched away a 22 gram gold chain from Savitri, 52, who was putting rangoli in in front of her house.

The police said that a black colour Pulsar bike was used in all the three cases and it is suspected that a same gang is behind the incidents.
