St Paul's School wins Tata Consultancy Services quiz

Over 1100 students from various schools participated in the India's largest inter school IT Quiz event organised by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday.

Harikiran C and Siddharath Srivatsa from St Paul's English High School won the title of regional champion this year and walked away with an iPad air each along, while the runners-up represented by Barghav Cavale and Abhishek Krishna from Sri Kumaran Children's Home, won an iPad mini each along with a specially designed trophy and medals.

The prizes were given away by Karnataka Cricketer L K Rahul and Nagaraj Ijari, VP and Head TCS Bangalore Operations. The TCS IT WIZ has sought to bring a paradigm shift in the world of quizzing through the new technology concepts such as software based rounds, gamification and animation. This year, the platform has looked into the technological trends that are poised to have huge traction across the globe.

An interactive Twitter contest was organised during the quiz to engage with the students in real-time as a part of our social media outreach programme. The Twitter contest witnessed over 4719 no. of tweets. The twitter contest also involved earning mileage system where every tweet got them a point, tweet with picture 3 points and retweets fetched them 5 points.
