Ramya’s busy schedule in either launching development works or visiting various areas in Mandya Lok Sabha constituency has had an adverse impact on the shooting schedule of Kannada film Neer Dose, for which its producer spent Rs4 crore.

Minimum guarantee actor Jaggesh and Ramya, who is considered the number one heroine in commanding remuneration, are the leading pair in Neer Dose, which is being directed by Vijaya Prakash, who handled megaphone for film Sidlingu, in which Ramya was the heroine.

Neer Dose’s shooting was commenced on March 4 this and it was expected to be completed
within three to four months. However, about 40% of its shooting remains incomplete as Ramya has become busy in politics after getting elected as MP in the recently held by-poll to Mandya Lok Sabha constitiency.

According to reliable sources, Ramya remained elusive for producer and director of the film. Their repeated attempts to contact her turned futile. Irritated by her attitude, Jaggesh took to twitter to declare that she should be grateful to the people who had helped her in the beginning of her career. Also, he claimed that it was he who had introduced her to Sandalwood (for Appu; she did not get the role though she was considered for it) when she was getting only rejection from other corners.

“It was me who introduced her to Raghavendra Rajkumar and got her an opportunity to act in Puneeth Rajkumar’s film Abhi,” he claimed.

Jaggesh said an actor should be grounded and should not let fame get to his head as fame is transitional if one is not grounded.

Producer’s responsibility
Meanwhile, Neer Dose’s director Vijaya Prakash said he was still hopeful that Ramya would begin shooting shortly. At the same time, he made it clear that it was the responsibility of the producer to ensure that she attended the shooting.

“Ramya has not said that she would not attend the shooting. Shooting of Neer Dose should have been completed by this time and ready for release during Diwali. I hope to complete its shooting shortly and release by Sankranthi,” he said.

It may be recalled that Ramya had filed a case against a freelance photographer for clicking her photos during the shooting of the film a few months ago.
