A petition filed against Tarikere MLA Srinivas has been rejected by the Karnataka High Court on Thursday.

The petition was filed by an independent candidate Neelakantappa, complaining that Srinivas has used his name and photo in his election campaign which is against the rule. Neelakantappa had also contended that even though he was earlier with Congress, in the election he contested as an independent candidate.

Srinisvas then filed an interlocutory application saying that the petitioner has not submitted any facts and no pamphlets to substantiate the evidence has been attached. Wile hearing the petition, the court admitted the MLA's application and dismissed Neelakantappa's petition.
