When contacted, Geetha Srinivasa Reddy, corporator, Domlur ward, said that the proposal to construct an open air theatre was pending for quite some time. She also shared how after a function below the flyover made her come up with the idea of an open air theatre at this place.

Appreciating the importance of developing a cultural space in the vicinity, Kunal K, a software engineer, said that the initiative would not only encourage theatre enthusiasts but also help keep the area clean. The open air theatre is expected to accommodate nearly 500 people. Moreover, there will be a parking facility and the open air theatre will be made available for theatre groups at a nominal fee.
