Lokayukta files cases against 13 govt officials

The Lokayukta sleuths in a raid conducted throughout the 42 places across the state, have registered criminal cases under Prevention of Corruption Act against the 13 government officials for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 24 crore.

The raid was begun on Thursday was conducted in Bangalore City, Bangalore rural, Bellary, Chamarajanagar, Chitradurga, Dharwad, Hospet, Mandya, Mysore, Ramnagara and Shivmoga.

The officials who booked by Lokayukta sleuths are N Hanumanthraya, police inspector, Tumkur, NT Srinivasa Reddy, police inspector, Bangalore, Jayaram, vice president APMC, Bangalore rural, TM Shekshawal, FDA, ZP, Bellary, Rangarama nayak, joint director, Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Ltd Chamarajanagar, D Rudramuni, executive officer, taluk panchayat Chitradurga, Andana Murthy, labour department, Hospet, Puttaswamy, PSI, CHESCOM, Siddaramaiah, Asst Commissioner of Police, Halasuru gate, Sundar Raj, DySP Internal Security Division, Mysore and CS Jagadeesh, Meter Reader, MESCOM Shimoga.+

N Hanumanthraya was found possessing immovable property valuing Rs 74.57 lakh and having disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 57.07 lakh. NT Srinivasa Reddy who joined police department in 2008 found owning property valuing Rs 90 lakh in eight places and have disproportionate asset of Rs 85 lakh. Jayaram who have a pay scale of Rs 1,500 found owing eleven sites and houses valuing Rs 14.17 crore and possessing disproportionate assets of Rs 10.09 crore. Krishnappa who joined service in 1994 was found possessing disproportionate amount of Rs 47.97lakh.

TM Shaikshavali was found owning sites in eight places and possessing disproportionate amount to the tune of Rs 1.09 crore while the DA percentage is 218.
HP Rangarama Nayaka was found possessing disproportionate amount of Rs 1.86 crore.

D Rudramuni had income of Rs 46 lakh while the disproportionate asset is Rs 66.79 lakh. Andanagowda S Patil owns sites in twenty six places and estimated disproportionate assets is Rs 2.20 crore. Niranjanmurthy was found possessing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 88 lakh. Puttaswamy was found possessing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 68 lakh. Siddaramaiah was found possessing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 72 lakh. KS Sundar Raj was found possessing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 93 lakh. CS Jagadeesh was found owning housing sites in seventeen places valuing Rs 3.12 crores while the disproportionate asset is 2.92 crore.
