The Congress party in the State has decided to form a committee and call for a meeting over the Karnataka Public Service Commission(KPSC) scam.

G Parameshwara, president of the the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) during the celebration of the Quit India Movement in the city on Saturday said, "The State government has taken its decision on KPSC scams. In order to discuss the loopholes in KPSC scam, the KPCC will call for its committee meeting and there should not be any politics."

The State government has followed the legal procedures in handling the KPSC issue and the Congress party and its leaders are with the government decision, Parameshwara said.

Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs said, "The state government, after the COD investigation has taken up the decision in cancelling the KPSC-2011 list. Such a thing should not happen, and being an autonomous body, the KPSC has committed blunders."

Meanwhile, accepting that party had failed to manage its seats in recent Lok Sabha polls, Dinesh Gundu Rao said, there were some minor issues which led the party to loose its seats.

"But, again the party can be built as the voters, who were promised for good things by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi are not satisfied. Even the voters are cheated by the BJP government," he added.
