Five days, seven acts, an eclectic range of diverse musicians - Seagram’s 100 Pipers is hosting Bangalore Music Week. Catch the band Lagori perform on Saturday as part of this fest.

All the rockers in the city here's Parvaaz all set to get you rocking with their blend of blues, rock, and psychedelia, tempered with Kashmiri and Urdu lyrics this weekend. Setting the tone for Parvaaz, are well known duo Paul and Kristina, acoustic rock performers from Goa, who will sway the crowd with their take on popular tracks.

Film

IFA is hosting the screening of the film Rangbhoomi by Kamal Swaroop. In 1920, after disputes with his partners, Dadasaheb Phalke resigned from his then company Hindustan Films and shifted to Benaras and renounced the world of cinema. In Benaras, he wrote a semi-autobiographical play Rangbhoomi. And this film is an invocation from that text.

Bhoomija is back with Songs of Love and Longing, a performance by Nrityagram’s Surupa Sen and Bijayani Satpathy. As party of this show, the duo will present songs from the Gita Govind and set to an exquisite original score by Pandit Raghunath Panigrahi.

Basava Ambara presents collection by Seamstress. The collection has been created with fabrics like ajrakh, khadi and ikat and all in shades of indigo and alzarin. Also on the racks are a collection of footwear by Plum Tree. The collections brings alive the traditional arts of the region, showcasing the breath-taking colours, thread-work, embroidery and inlay work to create dazzling colours and style.

Banna Creations, a company dedicated to promoting Indian handicraft announced its Kinnal Art workshop. This is a four-day workshop where participants will get to learn and understand Kinnal painting, demonstrated and taught by a traditional artist.
