Finally, DK Shivakumar takes oath as MLA

Senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar on Thursday took the oath as a member of the legislative assembly two weeks after the other members of the house did. Shivakumar, who was disappointed after he was denied a ministerial berth for his alleged involvement in the mining scam, had stayed away from the first legislature session of the 14th assembly which concluded on Wednesday.

Shivakumar, who was administered the oath in the speaker’s chamber, poured out his anguish against the political forces who had a hand in keeping him away. He had also performed a special puja at Kukke Subramanya to ward off the evil forces recently.
