Chief minister Siddaramaiah dismissed Narendra-Modi wave in the country in the wake of BJP doing well in assembly elections in Rajasthan, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.

“There is no Modi wave (in India). In fact, there is no connection between Modi and states gone in for assembly polls. Problems related to states are different from those haunting the nation,” he told reporters on the sidelines of an interactive event held by Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) in Bangalore on Sunday.

He said the poll results in these three states will not have any impact over the prospects of the Congress in the state when it goes for Lok Sabha elections next year. He said there are ups and downs in politics and it is time for Congress to set right the wrongs committed.

“The people have given the verdict and we have to accept it,” he said.
