While the older classes in Vibgyor High have resumed classes, the primary school comprising of first to fourth grades will resume on Wednesday. The school which was shut for more than three weeks followed by massive protests by parents over the sexual assault of six year old girl by the two school staff did not see much attendance from students.

However, parents of children in the primary school are a worried lot with the developments regarding the school resuming the academic activities. According Anitha, parent of a first grade girl student, 'As parents it is difficult for us to send the young ones to school. All the promises from the school management is an eyewash. The parents are struggling in vain communicating with the management, the education department and the government. The child who was assaulted is a classmate of my daughter and I am disturbed to send my child to the same school where there is no safety."

Archana, parent, said, "There has been so much talk about installation of cctv, but there has not been much done about it. At the common places there are no cctv installed and it is worrisome for parents whose kids are in primary classes. It's very stressful and risky for parents to leave children in such an institution for such long hours."

Another parent complained, "Removal of the Principal seems to be biggest unresolved issue. He has acted very irresponsibly and yet remains to be the head of the institution. The previous principal Louis Dias must be recalled from electronic city branch of Vibgyor."

Meanwhile Niranjan, another parent, being optimistic said that the management has cancelled the swimming passes. "Parents are allowed inside the school campus only on condition of some valid identity card. Outsiders are not permitted in any school area which is a good move. Moreover, the police department has deployed its personnel inside school campus and policemen in plain clothes or mufti have also been deployed. Children in high school have some how made up their mind to come to classes after all that has happened in the school."
