A candle light vigil was held in Bengaluru on Friday against the attack on St. Alphonse Church in Vasant Kunj area of the national capital.

A huge protest was held on Thursday outside the Sacred Heart cathedral of Delhi in protest against the series of attacks on churches in the capital since December last year. The Delhi Police had detained protesters who had taken out a march from cathedral.

The protesters were marching towards Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's residence, but were stopped on the way. Joint Commissioner of Police Mukesh Meena said the protesters had no permission to protest.

There have been five attacks on churches since December. In the latest incident earlier this week, the Saint Alphonsa's Church in South Delhi's Vasant Kunj was vandalised.
