Bangalore rape case: Siddaramaiah says no to CBI probe

The state government is not keen on handing over the rape case in the Vibgyor High School for CBI investigation.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Wednesday, said: "The state police is investigating the rape case and they have taken up the case very seriously. There is no need of handing over this case to the CBI."
Meanwhile, the chief minister has put a full stop to the rumour of the cabinet reshuffle and clarified that there would be cabinet expansion. Siddaramaiah has clarified about the cabinet reshuffle and said: "There will be only a cabinet expansion and not reshuffle".

After the one month long legislative session on Wednesday, Siddaramaiah has given a clarification on the strong rumours of cabinet reshuffle and said that, in the cabinet, there have been four vacant ministers post, that would be filled after the party high command's consent.

"We have never told that after the Assembly session there will be any reshuffle in the cabinet. In the cabinet, currently, there are four vacancies left and that will be filled soon, as soon as the high command agrees," Siddaramaiah stated.
