Bangalore: Paramour suspected for woman's murder

A woman was found murdered at her house in Kaverinagar on Saturday morning. Jayamma, 32, was a native of Andhra Pradesh and worked as a labourer. Police said the murder came to light when Jayamma's house owner went to her house on Saturday morning. “She was hit on her head with a blunt weapon and this led to her death. She was said to be a relation with Nagararaju, who is also a labourer. He often visited her house. He is suspected to be involved in her murder,” the police said. Mahadevapura police have registered a case and are investigating.

Man murdered, gang rivalry suspected
Imtiaz, a native of Mandya, was hacked to death near Shamanna Garden in Byatarayanapura police station limits on Friday night. Imtiaz was murdered by a five-member gang when he was standing near Bilal Masjid. Imtiaz was staying with his siblings at Goripalya in JJ Nagar. Body found in Malleswaram
A body was found in a sump near Namma Metro station in Malleswaram, near Mantri Square mall, on Saturday evening.

The victim, Venkatesh, had been missing for three days. He was an office assistant at the Metro station. “Preliminary investigations revealed that he had a quarrel with the security guards at the station a few days ago and he had informed it to his family members. However, the exact cause for the death will be known only after we get the post mortem report,” the police said.

2 students drown in lake near HAL
Two first PU students drowned in Chinnappanahalli lake in Marathahalli near HAL on Saturday afternoon. They had gone there for swimming along with their friends. Alistair was a resident of Varthur while Vaibhav Vilas was a resident of Whitefield. Both were 16 years old.

Police said the duo, along with three other classmates, had gone for swimming about 3 pm. The duo got into water while three of their friends stood at the bund. As they started drowning, their friends raised an alarm, alerting the locals, who called up fire and emergency service department. The boys drowned before help could arrive.
