Bangalore: IT's here, let the tech-tonic flow

The 16th edition of Karnataka’s annual IT event IT.biz will henceforth be known as Bangalore ITE.biz.

Organised by the department of IT, BT and S&T, in association with state government, and STPI, Bangalore ITE.biz 2013 is scheduled to be held from October 22 to 24 at the Lalit Ashok. With the new policy initiatives by the state government to boost the IT and communication sector, with added focus on electronics design and manufacturing as the next growth driver, on the anvil, the event has attracted strong participation of IT and electronics majors along with policy makers from across the country.

The conference driven by Nasscom, IESA and AMCHAM will be addressed by over 100 C level speakers and already over 1,000 delegates representing the IT and electronics sector have registered as conference delegates. The forum will be addressed by union minister for science and technology and  earth sciences S Jaipal Reddy, deputy chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia, minister  of state for  human resource development Shashi Tharoor, former secretary of IT and telecommunications R Chandrashekhar, president of Nasscom Som Mittal, and distinguished scientist and chief controller, R&D, of DRDO KD Nayak.

This year’s multi-track conference is expected to bring together top technology experts, policy makers, research heads, consultants and industry captains.

Eminent personalities will focus on thought leadership, while expert speakers will give insights into the latest industry trends and innovators will present path breaking ideas.

The programme is amalgamation of ‘Leadership Day’ on Tuesday, with the inauguration, keynote address and CEO conclave addressed by industry captains and policy makers on future of IT and electronics.

‘Knowledge Day’ on Wednesday will focus on big data, digital analytics, R&D, strategic electronics, ESDM landscape. The ‘Business Day’ on Thursday, will showcase innovations.

This year’s ITE.Biz will have special thrust on ESDM (electronics system design and manufacturing) and a full day track on ESDM has been structured by IESA (India Electronic & Semiconductor Association).

YESSS Programme (young entrepreneurs start-ups in soaring spirits) is a forum for start-ups that are looking for partnerships, collaboration, investments and mentoring, and is being driven by TiE-Bangalore, Indian Angel Network and KITVEN.

In addition, founder and CEO of RedBus Phanindra Sama will dwell upon his success story followed by presentations from seven selected entrepreneurs at the event.
