Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will be coming to Bangalore on January 11 to address a youth convention at Palace Grounds. The visit is said to be in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The programme has been  arranged by the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) and scheduled by the All-India Congress Committee (AICC) to encourage the youth in the city to counter BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s speech, which was held at the same venue on November 17 last year. Modi, in his speech, had targeted the IT city and its youth.

It is said that Rahul Gandhi will have a meeting with chief minister Siddaramaiah, KPCC chief G Parameshwara and also with the other senior leaders and discuss various issues pertaining to the state.
