3-yr-old girl raped by 16-yr-old neighbour

In one more rape incident, a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 16-year-old neighbour in Thattiguppe village in Thalaghattapura police station limits in Ramnagar district. The incident, reported on July 17, came to light only when the girl's parents approached the police on Monday.

Police said that the girl was playing in front of her house when the boy lured her with biscuits and raped her. The parents were unaware of it. As the girl suffers from heart ailments, she was taken to the St. John's hospital on July 20. During the doctor's examination the incident came to light. There were bite marks on the girl's private parts and legs and the doctors have confirmed rape after which the girl's parents filed a complaint, the police said.

"On the day of the incident, the accused found the girl playing alone in front of her house. Luring her with biscuits He told her he would give her biscuits and took her to his house and sexually assaulted her. The girl's mother, a daily wage worker, who returned home was worried as the girl was not at home. When she started searching for her, she found her daughter in a semi nude state in the accused's house. By that time, the boy had fled the scene. The mother did not suspect foul play and took the child home. After the doctors told her about the rape, she asked the child who told her about the incident," the police explained.

Following the incident, the elders in the village held a meeting with parent of both the accused and the victim and tried to hush the matter. However, the police convinced the girl's parents to file a case. A team has been formed to nab the boy.
