Maruti Suzuki mini-SUV S-Presso launched: Price, features, all you need to know

Maruti Suzuki on Monday launched its first-ever mini SUV S-Presso. The new car has been engineered and designed in a way that attributes by today's customer. 

Speaking on the launch, Maruti Suzuki Managing Director (MD) Kenichi Ayukawa said S-Presso is aggressive on the outside and comes with bold and dynamic interiors. Nothing like this has ever been attempted before, on a vehicle in this segment.

He said that the robust appeal, muscular stance and SUV-inspired bold fascia are created keeping in mind the aspirations of youth. "Our Mini-SUV, S-PRESSO has been designed, developed and validated using Suzuki’s global development processes," Maruti Suzuki MD said.

"While working with their counterparts in SMC, Japan, engineers from Maruti Suzuki worked on this car. They worked on it in India, at our world-class R&D Center at Rohtak," he added.

The new Maruti Suzuki S-Presso has ten top-line safety features which makes it amongst the safest cars in its category, he said.

The 5th generation Heartect platform makes S-Presso strong and rigid to effectively absorb and disperse the energy of a collision. S-Presso is powered by environment-friendly BS6 compliant, 1-liter petrol engine.

Happy to share that S-Presso becomes the 8th model in our portfolio to be compliant with BS6 norms, much ahead of the time.

The MD further added hope S-Presso will lift the market sentiment.
