Dominar 400 2018 Edition launches in India: 10 things to know about Bajaj's premium bike

Two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has launched the 2018 Edition of its premium bike, Bajaj Dominar 400. 

The Dominar 400 has been launched in the country on Tuesday in three new colours. Followinga re the 10 things you should know about the bike. 


1. The Dominar 400 has been launched in the country for Rs 142,109 (disc variant), and Rs 156,270 (dual channel ABS variant) (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

2. As far as the technical aspects of the Dominar 400 has converned, the 2018 edition boasts the same specifications as the previous one. However, the 2018 variant features few minor cosmetic changes.

3. The premium bike has been introduced in three new clours which are, Rock Matte Black, Canyon Red and Glacier Blue. The new collection also comes with Gold Dust alloy wheels.

4. The latest launch has come to celebrate the first anniversary of Dominar 400, said Eric Vas, President – Motorcycles, Bajaj Auto. 

5. The bike comes equipped with 373.3cc triple spark 4-valve DTS-i, closed fuel injection, liquid cooled engine. It gives out a maximum power of 35PS at 8,000rpm and peak torque of 35Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox.

6. Bajaj is betting high on the bike as Dominar 400 has the potential to go from 0-100 km/hr in just 8.23 seconds.

7. Other features include full mosaic shaped LED headlamp, large contoured tank, rear infinity lights, twin spar perimeter frame, new contoured stamped metal swing arm, 320mm front disc brake, and reverse LCD split speedometer.

8. To talk further, the Dominar 400 has low-slung saddle, 43mm telescopic front forks with dual spring mono suspension, wide and low profile radial tyres, and slipper clutch that provides precise gear shifts.

9. It measures 2,156mm X 813mm X 1,112mm, with 1,453mm of wheelbase, 157mm of ground clearance, 182kg of kerb weight and 13L of fuel capacity.

10. Dominar 400 will give direct competition to Royal Enfield Himalayan, Mahindra Mojo, and TVS Apache RR 310.
