Sistema to invest Rs 1,093 crore on 4G rollout- 1 month agoHaving acquired licences in eight circles in the March auction for the 800 MHz spectrum, Sistema Shyam Teleservices (SSTL) plans to deploy a version of 4G technology on single 1.4MHz carrier to maximise its data potential. That's some revival for a firm that had lost 21 of its licences following the Supreme Court's orders in 2011 in the 2G scandal. Vsevolod Rozanov, president and CEO of SSTL, which is also known by its brand MTS (Mobile Tele Systems), tells Priyanka Sahay what is the way forward. Excerpts from the interview:
