Mayor Sharadamma's tenure is about to come to an end, so here is a quick question. What do you remember of her tenure?

In April, Bangalore will be saddled with another Mayor for a year. And with the BJP preparing for elections in 2013 (if the government survives till then), the obvious choice will be somebody who can ready the war chest.
Issues like the city’s broken pavements, pothole-filled roads, poor garbage collection and disposal system and a pathetic water supply infrastructure are not things that our netas are worried about. It’s sad that such things are never the criteria when they select the Mayor. And that’s the reason why Bangalore’s infrastructure is worse than what it was, say, ten years back.
The recent scandal that hit the BJP should serve as a wake-up call. The common man has been breaking his back trying to earn his daily bread. The least that our leaders can do is appoint a Mayor who can make their life in this city better.
